Canals and rivers are a world away from every day. They’re free, open spaces we can all enjoy - and it’s our job at the Trust to keep them that way.
We are a charity, here to protect over 2,000 miles of waterways in England and Wales. We're custodians of a rich, living history but we look forwards to a brighter, better future too.On the water, on foot, on a bike, with friends or on your own, everyone should have a good place to go. So take a fresh look at what’s happening on your waterway. It’s closer than you think.
The ECP&DA are providing drink stations to the Erewash Half Marathon and wish all runners a great day on the canal.
The ECP&DA was formed in 1968 in response to the threat of closure of the Erewash canal by the British Waterways Board. Some of the original participants are still involved in the association, which is still active today.
LERC are a strong local club with a commitment to the community. We have a thriving membership with competitive teams across the ages and genders.
LERC are pleased to be able to work with both the Erewash Half Marathon & Erewash Triathlon in 2018. Good Luck to all the competitors!
If you would like to register with us for general event updates to include races that we or our partners organise please do so here. We won't share your details with anyone else.
